WooHoo! I am finally here!!! And to paraphrase my sister, RT, its a long way
But not nearly as long as friend, LB’s trip who posted on Facebook…
Nothing like three delayed flights and 30 hours travel to land in Frankfurt without my suitcase…So German beer is the remedy after a visit to the hotel spa. Cheers!

Ugh, right!
And it looks like the long haul flight is not putting anyone off travel. Every time I check into social media, someone is off doing some fabulous holiday…tis the time of year to evacuate the eaves.
Tinerate, what’s really bringing a smile to my dial is all the clever arty vacation shots people are taking of their tipple or two abroad.
Fancy a wine…

Maybe a champagne…

Or can’t decide so take the lot…

Anyhoo, back to me …I’ve just landed in NYC and I’ve already managed to catch up with one of my Lucca Lady friends, TS, (who I met whilst attending a user conference in Italy for AP’s work; very handy perk to have head office in Europe
) and her bestie, TRL. Nothing like sitting outside, chasing a few rays over a morning brunch Mimosa. Tinerate, soo good to connect again
Plus, I’ve even managed to get some work done and the really exciting bit is that I’m finally feeling like I have a slight handle on the jet lag I seem want to suffer the older I get. Totally boring I know!
Anyhoo, one of the brilliant things about travelling from Australia and consequently taking nearly the longest flights ever, is the folks one has the opportunity to meet. A varietal group of which travel is the only means that leads one to such encounters. Strangers that you happily share sometimes the most intimate details with and then part, never to be seen again except in memory, but having often left one enriched for the time spent together. Take RF who I shared the leg from LA to NYC with…who, with his 156 year old hand-stitched leather top hat holder, was off to London to attend Royal Ascot. In the Royal Enclosure no less! Very swish And poor old RF had a black-tie party that night so had to hit Heathrow running in order to buy a new one (his apparently was no good so had left it in Melbourne) and have it altered before the show. All first world problems I’d like to have
Tinerate, there are loads more long haul stories to share later but in the meantime, closer to home, a puddle jumper to views like this in Kangaroo Island is journey enough!

Till next time.
