I seem to be on a flight of formality. Not sure why but never one to question and always loving an adventure, I’m going with it 
Anyhoo, it’s not just the fancy formal thing that is piquing my interest at this moment, but elegant classics in the blue and white colour combo. Yes! The hues predominately reserved for the beach house and seaside. However, there is no sand or salt about these tablescapes!
Like a lot of us, I have most often reserved this color palette for ‘water’…(the drip drop aqua wet!)…areas however recently I have begun to view these brilliant blues and wonderful whites with the dignified sophisticated eye that they deserve.

Gloriously time-worn mahogony table. Gorgeous!…Antique silver with ivory fish knive and fork. Divine! (Although I do believe that all ivory trading should be banned!)…Retro purple wine stems. Fabulous!…Vintage cut-crystal water glasses. Beautiful!…Aged linen serviettes tucked into inherited silver rings. Elegant!…Rough-spun hewn placemats to save it from stuffy. Clever, very clever! And it’s all green and white. Green and purple. White, purple and green.. Mmm, think I might have got distracted…
