May, for me, is a month of all kinds of celebrations…

memories…

and moments…

One of the biggies is the birthday of my beloved Dad.

And in honour of his memory I am posting a poem written by my very talented sister, FEC.
While in my bed “Three wishes, he said.
This generous magic man
With legs and arms so tanned.
Wish number one – I have begun!
I wish to hear that laugh so dear,
In place of lifes perpetual fears.
Don’t let it die. Don’t let it sigh.
For just one second is all I beckon.
Wish number two- Tis so few!
I wish to see that face so kind,
It’s features young with scarce a line.
Don’t let it cry. Don’t let it sigh.
For just one second is all I beckon.
Wish number three- Yes so much to see!
I wish just that and I want him back.
Don’t be so cruel, it’s an evil tool:
Death of a man, why make it him?
I wish him near. Oh, please just here.
“Three wishes,” he said And my heart still bled.
Till next time.
