Today’s weather radar seems to be caught in a holding pattern of crisp, nippy and numbing with a forecast of arctic temperatures and hovering bleak. The long term outlook is…
Steaming soups…Flaming fires…Shivers and snuggles…
Frozen fingers…Cashmere coats…Yes please! Cheese and fondue…Plaid and pinot…I’ll take that too…
Howling winds…Pelting rain…Dreary days…Ring it all up!!!
It’s the first week of the season and I’m loving it cos I’m doing Cosy Cold
It’s the chilliest time of the year (good thing I’m not into stating the obvious ) and in celebration, we all just want to hibernate. Not such a silly idea. The bears and bees do it. So do skunks, groundhogs and snakes! Sensible plan really…take a six month hiatus from life and then emerge, refreshed and ready to tackle the dawn of the new day in Spring.
Anyhoo, as I don’t get the long term snooze option (thankfully! I would get complete cabin fever within the week ) I have chosen to have a season of Snuggle Up and Cosy.
Lots of rugs and romance morning beach walks, pizza at the pub and spectacular winter-hue sunsets with candlelight welcoming ambience to wind up the day.
And pretty, warming tables to add some cheer…
Now, I don’t think of using gold or brass on the table very often but have to admit that, as in this Spectacular winter woodland tablescape from happywedd.com, it works brilliantly and really hits the mark on the ambient scale
And then, on the other hand, I can quite confidently admit that, for me, happywedd’s moss tablecloth look (and seat cushions; hullo soggy bottoms!!!) only rates a straight Standard. How about you? A vote of Spectacular or Standard for the draping velvet spread???
But wait! Then there is this one! Still by happywedd.com, and still using the jade lichen, which I am loooving … In my book, this one rates Spectacular because of the very clever use of tree bark for placemats plus a cheery pop of pink!
What do you think? Do tell
Till next time.
Tipsy Pipsy xo
Your best one yet. I wish I was by a fire with Tipsy!
So do I! And thank you
