It’s time to show a bit of shoulder, have ice-cream for breakfast, pull out that bikini, select the summer highly intellectual wonderful trashy reading, paint the toenails and let your ankles go alfresco

Uh huh…It’s Spring. Real dinky-di Spring…at last

Finally Spring has sprung with all its rebirth, refresh and re-start magical wonderment. For even the most jaded of us out there, Spring represents new beginnings, growth and a fresh start.

It’s the hint of carefree days ahead and balmy temperatures that allow legs to go bare in the breeze.

It is a time of lifted spirits and an opportunity to reignite the batteries before all the whirl and swirl of the silly season and the long lazy blisteringly hot days of summer.

It is when the sun still holds some duckling softness and the landscape seems to twinkle in its soothing rays, shining with anticipated awakening and new adventures. It is a time that the whole world just seems to smile and the impossible becomes possible.

Rebirth. Regrowth. Rejuvenate. Enough said

Anyhoo, the blossom has budded. The roses are flowering and, unfortunately, the pollen is rampant (I’m okay with two out of three!) All strongly indicative that the season has finally caught up with the month and it is time to bloom the room…well, at least the table

It’s time to take it back outdoors and indulge in the relaxed lifestyle the longer jasmine scented and jacaranda littered days of Spring offer.

But the big plus of the season is that all this joyful wonderful flowery ambience translates to romance in the air with love affairs both blossoming and blooming (along with the gardens ) Weddings during this happy month are almost the order of the day which in turn translates to some of the most spectacular tables capes and whimsical fairytales…

And maybe even a tea party under the pergola using the fine china passed down through the generations and serving a cake decorated in various flower petals of all shapes, sizes and colours…a flowerfetti cake befitting of the season Okay, maybe a flight of fancy…Aah, but isn’t fantasy at the heart of this babys-breath time of year so dream up something that fits the role (shimmery silver, thin silk ribbons, delicate buds)…
