Gallery Gazing!

How long is it for you since you spent a wonderful completely indulgent afternoon at the art gallery??? Mmm, thinking…thinking…

For me, I can’t remember when the last time I was there would be but I do know that it was by far, all too long ago.

Anyhoo, the Biennial of Australian Art exhibition is currently showing here in Adelaide and having seen snippets of what was on offer…

…I simply had to have a squizz :)

So good friend, LJ and I headed in to the Art Gallery. And, after you have a look at these, you might want to as well!

I was enthralled with the works of Tom Moore. The colours of his glass art were vibrant and demanding with wonderful use of dynamic combinations in each piece. Emerald green with sapphire turquoise (Yes! Truly :) It had the brightness of a turquoise but the depth of sapphire.)

Tom’s marvellous metamorphic objects are first created as drawings before being blown and hot worked in glass. In this installation…the animal, mineral, vegetable and mechanical realms are merged.

And the larger-than-life media display by Fiona McMonagle was absolutely amazing…

The magical properties of water comes to life in the animation the artist has created…The Aqueous images awaken and seamlessly move across the screen amongst joyous music

Anyhoo, the creative detail in all the amazing display of varied art works is exquisite and I doubt my photos will even begin to do justice to the brilliance involved by any of the very gifted talented artists, but I still wanted to share…

There were so many bursts of fabulous colour, rows of unexpected delight and waay too much spectacular creativity to ever hope to (as afore mentioned) give appropriate credit to…

…So, in the words of infamous music man, MM, do yourself a favour! :)

Till next time.
