Okay, nirvana for the back yard has finally arrived. No, not the outdoor kitchen or fabulous spa pool. Not even the She Shed (although that is a pretty hot commodity of an idea ) but … sound the trumpets please … the Backyard Bar Shed!!! I know! Officially tripping over myself with excitement at this moment

To think, no more heading down to the pub for a pint or wistfully craving that G&T in the Beer Garden because now it’s all just a few steps out the back door! Throw in a few brollies. Set up the card table and chalk up the specials on the blackboard in your best cursive …  (and just an aside, that is such a great word that has almost been lost from the English language. Do kids even learn cursive anymore???) … and …Ta Daaa! What do we have. BEST. PUB. EVER!!!

But just about the biggest thrill in my little ole book this afternoon is, to think, not even a finger needs to be raised in the primping department. Hat hair? Who cares? No lippie? Never noticed? Is that really a trackie? Mm, nice! So where did you get it? All comfort with no effort: what more could a girl want???

Anyhoo, adding a Bar Shed to the garden is not even a complicated task. Take the flat pak DIY shed, add mood lighting, dart board and a couple of stools … Voila!  Instant place to hang to watch the game

This little shed would even work in the front garden although one would need to be open to meeting new people cos I’m betting that pedestrians are going to want to stop for a quick snort on their travels. You know, one for the road Oh wait! Light bulb moment … charge them for the stool  (I’m sure thats legal. It’s like charging people to park on your lawn when they are attending a cricket match – cos you live close to the oval) which pays for the drink and avoids any messing around with liquor licenses. Brilliant way to earn a little extra mad money don’t you think? Ooo, I should soo be in marketing

Only problem I can foresee with this ingenuous backyard bar shed idea is ‘just who is going to play bar person???
