The sky is blue. The sun is shining. Birds are singing. And I’m trapped inside a cliche 
Not such a bad place to be though. Especially when perched on the side of a mountain surrounded by nothing but green!
It’s that time of year again when the warm weather is beckoning us to take all activities outdoors. So like the forever obedient student, I have dusted off the deck chairs, polished down the dining table and arranged the outside furniture. AP ran in to the Farmers Market to pick up some stunning blooms… (how he could decide from this lot is beside me but then, that is probably why he went rather than me ) …then de-winterized the barbie. All in anticipation of many hours spent dining, wining and lounging like a lizard through the long lazy days of summer
All my expectant sunny season prepping had me musing about summer fling tabletops, and whilst I looove bunches and bunches of meadow field blooms and can quite happily take cuttings from what I have as adornment centrepieces, this time I was intrigued about just how to tony up the summer setting. Mmm, thinking…thinking…
Anyhoo, as coincidence would have it, I am then flipping through another fave mag of mine, Instyle, and come upon this article all about fashion designer, Lela Rose and the release of her side business related book, Pret-a-Party: Great Ideas for Good Times and Creative Entertaining.
I didn’t know about this innovational dynamo (yes, obviously I have been residing under a rock ) until now and with a quick read through of her fab book, am already fast realising that this extremely talented woman blessed with the serious gift of inspiring and original creativity is fast turning into an in-the-moment talent crush Oh, to have just a pinky of her skill! Oy Vey…
