Now it is already well documented just how much I adore the colour pink so I have to pre-empt this blog by saying that I have absolutely-hand-on-my-heart-no-fingers-crossed not (I repeat for emphasis, not! ) made any of this up! Honest to goodness total disclosure-solemn-sister promise (you know the kind where a finger was cut and blood exchanged as kids. Kind of hits the eew mark these days doesn’t it )

Anyhoo, so completely chuffed to find out that pink, in all its glorious hues is now trending  … and not only in fashion but digitally as well! Yes! Apparently, now a thing is Tumblr Pink according to my fav mag, InStyle…

This season, the muted pastel appears on everything from bikinis to couches to Instagram backdrops…

I literally trip over myself with excitement when I realise that I’m actually a clueless fashionista. Move over Kardashians, there’s a new bottom taking a seat

Tinerate, my ‘go to all things InStyle’ bible tells me that the best way to try the Tumblr Pink is with an accessory.

I’m not completely sold on that idea … why not a gingham pink pant suit from another of my favourites but this time a store, J Crew (they literally have the best selection of, well, just about everything but I’m pretty partial to their range of stunning bling. Can’t tell you how many compliments I get when wearing one of their gorgeous necklaces)

Or deck yourself out in the divine Lilly Pulitzer! This fun label is all about summer and long lazy days at the Vineyard (and sometimes Nantucket). To many New Englanders, this collection is the pure essence of the sunny season. In fact, a great friend from Boston, AZ, wears Lily’s cheerful colourful creations from Memorial Day right through to Labour Day, religiously!

Pink is currently so on trend though that it is popping up in all aspects of fashion, from jewellery to handbags to 70’s revisited long skirts.

The once-demure hue makes a bold statement in shades from bubblegum to fuchsia.

Colour can most definitely be energising so be like Ashley Graham and wear neon pink to the gym (and just an aside, she admits to ‘totally checking herself out as she does her squats’ when sporting the hot hue.)

Anyhoo, suffice to say, I’m in heaven with this trend … a pretty pastel pink heaven … now where’s that Rose

Oh, and if ever giving a gorgeous bouquet of poenie pink, I always think that flowers wrapped in brown paper, hessian, even newspaper print are a whole lot prettier than plastic, don’t you?
