Ladies and Gentlemen…”Comprising nine thematic galleries, Exhibitionism will feature more than 500 original Stones’ artefacts, with cinematic and interactive technologies creating an immersive insight into the band’s 50 year history…”

Talk about a kid in a candy store! Well, we weren’t but I’m going to because that is the only description that I can think of at the moment that even comes close to how I am feeling about scoring tickets to the Rolling Stones Exhibitionism.

As a die-hard Rolling Stone fan …(like most of us I’m guessing, especially my peers who were all groupies of the Mick-Jagger-can-park-his-sneakers-at-my-front-door-anytime clan. Of course before he got married or wrapped up in any sort of relationship! No marriage wrecking included in this wholesome she-crush :) )… I have been wanting to see this exhibit since it opened in London last year.

Unfortunately the UK just wasn’t on my itinerary, (even during my time in the States when it was merely a short five hour flight across the pond) but fear not! If Mohammad cannot go to the mountain, the mountain can come to Mohammad. And it has!!!

The whole lock, stock and barrel of the show is now here in New York City and I have already been to see it (I only arrived a few days ago and with decorations to see (more on that later,) places to visit and shows to attend, I have no time for jet lag. (Tis a pity it has time for me though. Oy Vey…)

Anyhoo, for a couple of hours I got to get up close and very personal with members of the band, the highlight most probably being the recreation of Mick and Keith’s first apartment in London.

Ah, yes. A little straggly in the housekeeping department were the boys but obviously that oversight did not upset the creative juices. In fact, the chaos around them probably aided in the laying down of riffs and harmony.  And, according to Mick (first name terms now I have browsed through his intimates :) ) it was a very fair portrayal of how they lived.

Tinerate, fantastic looking glass into one of the worlds most popular and successful bands (if not the most) and don’t despair, it is on the first leg of its round the world tour so if travel to NYC is not on the immediate radar, sit back and wait till it flies into town.
