Cape Dreaming!

So whose been to the Cape lately? Yes! Cape Cod, Massachusetts!

You see I’m all beach mode today (again!!! :) ) because I caught up with good friend LS who has just returned from ‘a glorious few days at the Hamptons!’ Lucky her!

Anyhoo, it got me to thinking that whilst I do know that the most infamous coastline in the States is the Hamptons, there are many many other charming coastal beaches to be explored. All of which are nearly as popular as the Hamptons if not as well known out of the domestic USA. And one of my favourites would have to be Cape Cod!

Cape Cod, which is affectionately referred to as The Cape, is just south of Boston and definitely the ‘go to’ destination …  (Oh, okay, that and Nantucket Island and Martha’s Vineyard – The Eye-Lants – but I think they are technically included as being in part of the Cape area anyhow …Um, anyone???) … for the Style Crowd, the In Kids and of course, the Establishment. Walking the streets you never know who you will see; maybe a Kennedy? Not to mention everyone else who just can’t keep away cos it’s all too divine.

Anyhoo, the Hamptons may be what first comes to mind when talking beach in the States (well, at least in the East that is) and that’s to where everyone flocks. But it’s northerly cousin is pretty exceptional in my little ole opinion. I mean don’t even get me started on Chatham! Then there is Barnstable and Falmouth. Oh, and I have to mention Provincetown; talk about m-a-j-o-r party town. In fact – need to say – there is really something for everyone in that elbow of a peninsula land mass :)

Tinerate, now that I’ve dropped back to the Northern Hemisphere, I’m thinking it’s time to revisit an old stomping ground :)

Till next time.
