Now neon is not a colouring that comes readily with the association of all things Easter. If doing a shade at this sacred time, most often it is a understated elegant simple toned theme…
…And if splurging on hue, then pastel is quite frequently the choice…
Anyhoo, I saw a lot of silver, browns and gold dust lust over this four day weekend and probably the most vibrant – not to mention – cutest (and yes, maybe even predictable but I don’t think that’s an issue when it comes to a classic) would be this Bunny table…
But there are sooo many cool associations with neon that it was only a matter of time before it nudged its way in to the traditional theme of holidays. I mean…for example…Debbie Harry’s embrace of fashion, Andy Warhol’s 60’s portraits, the whole ‘feeling groovy’ generation, NYC recent retail…
And why not use neon at this time? As mentioned in Instyle Magazine…
Neon is the perfect expression of changing seasons…celebrating Winter turning into Spring, Summer into Fall. Let’s all wave our glow sticks!
Hope you had a wonderful Easter
Till next time.
