I have come to the conclusion that it really doesn’t matter what the season, except maybe for the deep dark blustery days of mid winter, a picnic is a great way to celebrate an occasion. Any Occassion!!! And it’s not just a summer and spring happening…Sooo, I have decided that it needs to duly obtain the recognition for the spectacular pop up artist it is
It’s an event that can lend itself to any party, whether it be an Autumn balloon birthday bash or Friendsgiving on the side of a mountain…
There is no curtailing the flexibility of this fabulous festivity. No limitations on the liveliest imagination. No restraints on the endless possibilities that mother nature might offer up!
A floor of scattered Fall leaves? A twigged forest backdrop? Maybe a rolling stream for drama? See what I mean…absolutely endless superb possibilities!
How about a whimsical woodland wedding scene as a way to celebrate the nuptials in carefree independent style? Or splash it up by the water instead
Feel in the mood for entertaining the ladies? The picnic offers itself as a very effective stand-out from the crowd kind of girls-get-together. And, even better, it can be ridiculously low fuss and still be a memorable unique affair.
When it comes to the children, the picnic has always been the accommodating go-to mainstay, cheerfully chirping along (face paint, sprinkles and squeals of giggly delight ) on stages as varied as sand pit to ball room. Many times, even only a tarp strewn across the back lawn…but regardless of the props, it inevitably works!
Tinerate, I am so totally taken with this kids holiday table I just might have to try something like it (with an adult twist ) myself!
Sooo, what are your thoughts on the Picnic. A rock-star-status worthy spectacular or faithful-fallback standard??? Would love to hear.
Till next time.
