The city is just too beautiful right now with soo many fabulous decorations and reminders of the season adorning every nook, cranny and gargoyle that I have decided to make this post a pictorial…Enjoy (Oh, and don’t forget to click on the image to see it at its twinkling best )
And no, it’s not because I have nothing to say (now that would really be a first )…
…or am running out of time because I’m completely pre-occupied with all the fabulous glitz, glamour and twinkle at every turn…
(well, alright, maybe a little pressed for time, but only a smidge. And, just an aside, you would be too with all the fabulous decoration distractions (professionally done and home spun )
And that is before one even considers shopping! All first world frightfully-exhausting-however-terrifically-important problems I know, but, sigh, still to be dealt with
Anyhoo, images of the New York City festive glitter seem to have popped up all over Facebook, Instagram and other social media…
…so I am not going to bore you with a re-run of same old same old (not that they are not stunning!)…
…instead I am going to try and showcase some of what is more in line with ‘thinking outside the borough’ (which would be Manhattan) and the obvious which would be the department stores.
Although, just to clarify, the decorations are all down-right gorgeous so apologies in advance should a tried and trusted ‘big name’ store holiday window make an appearance
Walking back from uptown today, I was again mesmerised by the Holiday Folly of Sixth Avenue…(nyclovesnyc)…
This main drag really does outstanding displays of cheer, with the oversize red baubles being a big favourite year in year out…
And of course, the Rockettes annual show always a must… So is the Nutcracker which, I regret to say, I am still to get to. Naughty I have been so remiss I know. Funny though how you can live in a place and never do as much as a tourist might in a week! Oy Vey …
Tinerate, there is only a few more weeks to enjoy this spectacular town of tinsel with all the accompanying ‘feel good vibes’… such a shame we can’t be in the Christmas Spirit all year round.
Oh, and I know I said I had nothing to say but…
Till next time.
